Penny Grant

As QLD Market Manager Penny looks after the state for all things Shaw + Smith, Tolpuddle Vineyard, The Other Wine Co and MMAD Vineyards. With primary focuses on trade sales and education, in particular providing direction and support to our Australian distributors, Red + White, and Mezzanine.

Penny is a accomplished wine show judge and a 2022 Len Evans Tutorial scholar. In 2014 Penny was awarded Pol Roger Good Food Guide Sommelier of the year.

Her last role was Group Sommelier for the Ghanem Group in Brisbane. She looked after the wine program for their 11 venues including writing wine lists, procuring wines, staff education and service. Previous to joining the Ghanem Group in 2014, Penny worked her way through some of Melbourne’s most notable restaurants.

Starting as a junior Sommelier at Circa the Prince in 2009 sparked her passion to work and learn from the best. The next 5 years saw Penny work with Lincoln Riley as his Sommelier at Taxi Dining Room, Maze by Gordon Ramsay and Stokehouse St Kilda.  

During her time at the Ghanem Group Penny and her team picked up many notable awards including:
