Hailing from South Australia, Mark Best is a prominent and influential figure in Australian gastronomy. After winning Best Young Chef in 1995, he honed his skills in Michelin-starred kitchens in France and the UK. Returning home, he opened Marque in 1999, earning numerous awards and a place in the San Pellegrino World's 50 Best Restaurants list.
