Experience the culinary collaboration of chef legend Mark Best and rising star Aaron Ward as they join forces with Michael Wilson, Chef Patron of one Michelin star, Restaurant Maguerite in Singapore. This incredible lineup of talent will be hosted by Nick Holloway at his award-winning Nu Nu Restaurant, directly off the back of Nu Nu securing a position as a finalist in the 2024 Gourmet Traveller Restaurant Awards for 'Best Destination Dining' in Australia.

Nestled among the coconut palms, Nu Nu is an absolute beachfront gem in Palm Cove, celebrated for its exquisite dishes crafted from the finest produce sourced locally from the rainforest, the reef, and outback cattle stations.

Esteemed chef Mark Best has garnered a multitude of accolades and fulfills diverse roles including Chef, Culinary Advisor, Photographer, and Brand Consultant. Throughout his tenure at the esteemed Surry Hills fine diner Marque (1999 - 2016), he earned the title of Restaurant of the Year from various publications and secured a coveted position on the prestigious World's 50 Best Restaurant List for three consecutive years.

Aaron Ward, with over a decade of experience under his belt working with exceptional culinary talent, has left his mark on venues like Shellhouse and Bather's Pavilion, showcasing his culinary prowess and passion for quality ingredients.

The Taste Port Douglas Takeover Series presented by Singapore Airlines

The Taste Port Douglas Takeover Series’ presented by Singapore Airlines showcases Australian and International culinary talent in favourite venues across the Topical North. In 2024, thanks to joint funding from the Australian and Queensland Governments along with Singapore Airlines the festival will featuring Michelin star chef, Michael Wilson from Singapore marking this the first time the festival has hosted international talent. The partnership between Taste Port Douglas and Singapore Airlines opens a world of possibilities and highlights the ease of access to the region, with direct flights four times a week between Singapore and Cairns on board their Airbus A350-900 aircraft.
